Personally, I can't get enough of New York in October. The weather is a dream, with temperatures hovering around a comfortable 24 degrees celsius, making it perfect for exploring the city by foot. Whether you're wandering through the lush expanse of Central Park, exploring the iconic Madison Avenue, or indulging in retail therapy on the legendary Fifth Avenue, New York has it all. If you're ready to rack up those steps, New York is your ultimate playground.

City Escapes: Dubai

If you're seeking the ultimate luxurious city escape, then Dubai in autumn is a fantastic choice. I went in July, with temperatures soaring up to a blistering 46 degrees celsius, although I still loved every minute of it! But come November, the city transforms into a traveler's paradise, offering much more agreeable weather with average highs up to around 35 degrees.

If you’re looking for an opulent trip away where the promise of relentless sunshine is virtually guaranteed then Dubai is the place for you. If you love a bit of retail therapy, then you are definitely going to the right place, as you can shop-til-you-drop and enjoy the most delectable cuisine, all within settings of awe-inspiring grandeur, and when night falls, Dubai's skyline is magical.

I wholeheartedly recommend experiencing Dubai at least once in your lifetime, for there truly isn't any place quite like it. The must-visit gems include the iconic Burj Khalifa, where witnessing the evening fountain show to music is an absolute must. And, of course, Dubai Mall should be at the top of your list, a retail mecca that leaves no shopping whim unfulfilled regardless of your budget.
